CZ, Česká zbrojovka, is a Czech maker based in Uherský Brod, with its US arm, CZ-USA, in Kansas. Its pistols are built on the CZ 75 design and are popular with competition shooters, from the steel-framed Shadow 2 to the polymer P-10 striker-fired line.
On the rifle side, the 457 rimfire series and the 600 bolt-action are the models most people shop for. The 455 Varmint Precision Trainer, a heavy-barreled .22 LR used for practice at long-range distances, still draws searches years after it was replaced by the 457.

CZ questions
What is the difference between the CZ 455 and 457?
The 457 replaced the 455 as CZ's rimfire bolt-action, with a shorter bolt throw, an adjustable trigger and a new safety. Many 455 models are still sought after on the used market.
Is the CZ Shadow 2 good for competition?
It was designed for it. The Shadow 2 is an all-steel, single-action/double-action pistol widely used in USPSA and IPSC production divisions.
How do CZ pistols ship?
To a licensed FFL dealer. Handguns can only be transferred to a buyer in their state of residence.
