What sets the M4 Patrolman's rifle series apart is the partnership with Franklin Armory and their Binary Firing System (BFSIII) trigger. The three-position trigger allows for safe, semi-automatic, and binary firing modes. In binary mode, one round is fired on the trigger pull and another round is fired upon release, with the second round being cancellable via the safety selector. In semi-automatic mode, only one round is fired per pull, and in safe mode the gun will not fire.
