The Weatherby MKV 257wby Barrel redefines lightweight precision with the Backcountry 2.0 Bolt Action Rifle. Built on the iconic Weatherby Mark V action, this rifle features a super-thin fluted barrel and a revolutionary carbon fiber Peak 44 Blacktooth stock, weighing under 20 ounces. The second-generation 3DHEX recoil pad, the first 3D printed pad in firearms, absorbs recoil with interlocking voids for a smoother shooting experience.
Enhancements include spiral-fluted bolt bodies for reduced weight and smoother operation, a lightweight aluminum skeletonized bolt handle, and Weatherby’s highly-effective Accubrake ST with 30 symmetrically-spaced ports to tame magnum recoil. The rifle’s Cerakote finish in Patriot Brown and a brown/green camo pattern over exposed carbon fiber add durability and style.
